Every number here is one resident, counted once.
Anonymous comment systems get flooded with fakes; one federal proceeding got eighteen million of them. Here, every number is a signed-in neighbor, on the honor system for now, with ID verification on the way to prove it. That's the whole point of this site.
You never need an account to read anything. You need one to be counted.
Your address resolves against the city’s own boundary maps, not ZIP codes, which cross the city line in both directions. It is checked and discarded: we keep the district, never the address.
Until verification opens, positions run on the honor system: one account, one voice, counted and labeled attested. These are the two paths being built, and both will count equally.
Scan your ID and take a selfie with an independent verification service. It proves one real person, one account. The scan is deleted at the vendor within days, and it never touches our servers at all.
No ID and no photos: nobody sees anything. We mail a one-time code to your address; entering it proves you live there. The slow path, and the most private one.
