Every number here is one resident, counted once.

Why the door has a lock

Anonymous comment systems get flooded with fakes; one federal proceeding got eighteen million of them. Here, every number is a signed-in neighbor, on the honor system for now, with ID verification on the way to prove it. That's the whole point of this site.

You never need an account to read anything. You need one to be counted.

Step 1 · Find your districtINSTANT · NOTHING STORED

Your address resolves against the city’s own boundary maps, not ZIP codes, which cross the city line in both directions. It is checked and discarded: we keep the district, never the address.

SANTA BARBARA, CA
Step 2 · Create your accountTHE PART THAT WORKS TODAY

An email address is the whole account: we send a one-time sign-in link. No password, and the address is never shown publicly. Signed in, your positions count right away, on the honor system, labeled attested until ID verification opens.

Step 3 · Verify your residencyCOMING SOON

Until verification opens, positions run on the honor system: one account, one voice, counted and labeled attested. These are the two paths being built, and both will count equally.

InstantCOMING SOON

Scan your ID and take a selfie with an independent verification service. It proves one real person, one account. The scan is deleted at the vendor within days, and it never touches our servers at all.

PostcardCOMING SOON

No ID and no photos: nobody sees anything. We mail a one-time code to your address; entering it proves you live there. The slow path, and the most private one.

KEPT, ONCE IT OPENS

NEVER STORED
  • Your ID or your photo: vendor-held, auto-deleted
  • Your address: resolved to a district, then discarded
  • Your individual positions stay private, always
